When Suzuki Australia approached FML Design to create a bold promotional vehicle for the Suzuki Swift, the vision was simple yet ambitious: a design that would capture the fierce, untamed energy of the Swift while giving it a visual makeover unlike anything seen before. FML Design was given the creative freedom to unleash their artistry, and the result was the stunning Suzuki Growl Swift, a vehicle that turned heads and roared with personality.

The Design: Purple Stripes, Flames, and a Fierce Tiger

FML Design began by conceptualizing a design that would make the Growl Swift stand out from the crowd. Inspired by Suzuki’s sponsorship of the Brisbane-based Eastern Suburbs Tigers, the team envisioned a design that would channel the spirit of the tiger—fierce, fast, and full of energy. The most striking feature of the Growl Swift was the tiger head, roaring fiercely from the bonnet. With its sharp teeth and intense gaze, the tiger symbolized the power and agility of the Swift. Complementing this were dynamic purple stripes and flames, which streaked down the sides of the car like a trail of speed, adding an element of ferocity and motion to the design. The purple, chosen by Suzuki’s fanbase in a social media vote, became the signature color that gave the Growl Swift its unmistakable character.


Crafting the Masterpiece

With the design in hand, FML Design brought the concept to life using high-quality vinyl and meticulous craftsmanship. The team ensured that every element—from the placement of the tiger’s head to the flow of the stripes—was perfectly aligned to create a cohesive and eye-catching look. The wrap was applied with the utmost precision, ensuring that the tiger’s roar and the flames crackling down the side would shine brightly on the road. To add to the visual impact, the Growl Swift was outfitted with high-back black Pantera leather seats, featuring purple claw marks, giving the interior an edgy, wild touch. The finishing details included a custom sound system, purple accents on the dashboard, and 18-inch open-spoke Advanti wheels to enhance its sporty look. This was more than just a car—it was an experience waiting to happen.


The Raffle: A National Spotlight on Channel 9

The Growl Swift wasn’t destined for a showroom floor. Instead, Suzuki Australia wanted to give fans a chance to own this one-of-a-kind vehicle. The car was raffled off as part of a national promotion, with the drawing held live on Channel 9’s Morning Show. As the Growl Swift took center stage on live television, viewers across Australia got a close-up view of the striking design that had taken months of planning and perfect execution. The anticipation built as the competition unfolded, and the Growl Swift became the talk of the town.
